Little A’s Bees
“The bee is more honored than other animals, not because she labors, but because she labors for others.”
— St. John Chrysostom
Leander Lavender is maintained and protected securely by Little A’s Bees
Our greatest asset at Indigo Ranch is our Little A’s Bees. Each bee plays their part in our lavender’s success and all of our bees are lovingly cared for by Aiden (Little A).
Little A’s Bees
Nestled in the hills of Indigo Ranch you will find our bee farm, Little A’s Bees. What started as a hobby has turned into honey sales, queen rearing and a bee rescue business. Our bees are lovingly cared for by Little A (and his dad) to help create an exceptional raw artisan honey using responsible and sustainable practices.
The hills of Indigo ranch erupt with wildflowers in the spring. Bluebonnets, bee balm, coreopsis, verbena, and basket flower are just the start of the long list of flowers that cover the fields. These Texas wildflowers are what create the unique, delicate flavor of our honey.
Our honey is harvested and bottled on site. Every jar is raw and unfiltered so you get all the “good for you” compounds (antioxidants and pollen) found naturally in honey. For an alternative flavor, we do infuse a small batch of honey with our dried Grosso lavender buds. We also use the wax collected during honey harvest to craft our bee-made products.
